I have been involved in some sort of athletics my entire life and love to be active. I am a triathlete, runner, marathon kayaker, outdoor adventurer, coach (track and field), mom, wife, animal lover, vegetarian, reader, health nut. in one of my earlier lives I was a race horse exercise rider and even a rodeo queen!
This blog will be filled with the highs and lows of leading a healthy, active life. I hope to chronicle some of the experiences that my husband (and training partner) and I go through in our quest for middle aged athletic excellence. There are lots of articles and books about being the best athlete you can be, but what about the best 50 or 60 year old athlete? Everything changes as we age, and I hope that some of the things I learn on my journey will help others to also lead a healthier lifestyle
